Accurately Calibrate Metering Pump Flowrates

SENTINEL Calibration Columns, also referred to as calibration cylinders, provide a simple and accurate method for measuring and calibrating pump flowrates in chemical dosing applications. Choose from PVC columns with PVC end caps or, borosilicate glass columns with a variety of end cap options for more corrosive applications. Each column features a laminated calibration scale in mL/min and US GPH for accurate measurement in a one minute test.

Calibration columns are installed on the suction line of the pump with the top of the column vented back to the supply tank or drain. Using isolation valves, the column is filled with process fluid from the supply tank and drawn down in a timed, one minute test. The fluid remaining in the column at the end of the test is measured on the column’s graduated scale in both milliliters/minutes (mL/min) and US gallons/hour (US GPH).

End cap options:

SEALED
Glued to the cylinder for permanent vent connection. Used in applications with positive suction head.

REMOVABLE
Cap sealed with a O-ring for easy removal for cleaning. Used in applications with positive suction head.

LOOSE
Cap acts as dust cover in applications with no positive suction head. Cylinder is filled from the top.
