Pulsation in Sulfuric Acid Feed

Problem:
MID South Wire Co., Inc. in Nashville, TN uses Yamada Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps to supply the feed of sulfuric acid to the centrifuge which is a continuous process and requires as smooth and even a flow rate as possible. The double diaphragm pump was giving good service, but the customer either had to change out the pump for one with continuous flow or find a solution for the pulsation.
Solution:
A Blacoh 1" Polypropylene unit with PTFE bellows was recommended to the customer. The customer purchased the unit and installed it. He was very pleased with the quality of the flow conditions out of the pump after the pulsation dampener was installed. The customer has since purchased another unit for a similar application.
Result:
First of all, a happy customer. We solved his problem with the help of a Blacoh pulsation dampener. The customer could not believe the results and will use and recommend Blacoh to his other plants to solve pulsation problems.
