Modular, Skid Mounted Chemical Dosing System

Problem:

A treatment plant required modular, skid mounted chemical dosing systems to accurately and reliably inject coagulant, flocculant, and peroxide into the process. The client needed a solution that combined high dosing accuracy with built in safety, while minimizing operational risk, startup time, and field installation complexity.

Because multiple chemicals were being injected at different points in the process, the system also had to protect against pulsation, pipe blockages, and overpressure events while ensuring repeatable, consistent dosing performance.

Solution:

A fully integrated chemical dosing skid package was engineered, combining precision dosing equipment with critical BLACOH system safety and flow control components.

Each skid was custom designed and pre assembled to ensure compatibility between components and included:

• Backpressure valves to maintain stable and accurate chemical dosing
• Relief valves to safeguard against blockages and overpressure conditions
• Calibration columns for verification and repeatability of dosing rates
• Pulsation dampeners to reduce pulsation and protect downstream piping

The modular, pre assembled design allowed the skids to be installed quickly with minimal field intervention, reducing startup time and operational risk.

The dosing skids delivered a reliable, accurate, and protected chemical injection system that met both process and safety requirements. Key outcomes included:
